Self Determination and Peace in Kashmir

The Alliance for a Secular and Democratic South Asia denounces the unilateral decision of the Indian Government to abolish the constitutionally guaranteed special status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The Alliance demands the immediate demilitarization of the region, restoration of civil liberties, and all initiatives to allow the people of Jammu and Kashmir to express their right to self-determination.
